FAQs
Where do you guide?
We have a collection of lakes approved by the Forest Service that we have access to. All lakes are located in the beautiful Uinta Mountains just a short 30 minute drive from Kamas, UT up Highway 150.
We can also plan a custom trip based on your goals - you tell us what you want to do and we'll make it happen!
What makes your tours unique?
A guided tour at 10,000 feet is a rare opportunity! We are one of the only outfits that have the permit to do this. We have access to 5 species of fish, and the majority of our season is spent fishing topwater, a real treat.
Why can I not schedule a specific date?
On our “Book a Tour” page, we refer to your scheduled date as a “Preferred Date”. We aren’t able to book specific days due to the Uinta season being unpredictable and the scarcity of trips we are allowed; But don’t worry! Date confirmations rarely take longer than 48 hours.
When will I know my tour date?
We guarantee a minimum of a two-week confirmation notice for your tour date. You will receive a text and email notifying you.
The exception to this notice is if you request a date that is sooner than two weeks.
I’ve never been fly-fishing but I want to learn. Is that okay?
Yes! Some of our most successful tours are with clients that are first-timers. We love teaching and demonstrating proper techniques in the areas of casting, hook setting, knot tying, and fish handling.
How can I contact you?
Reach out to us here, or simply message us @uinta.life on Instagram and Facebook.
